Boat: 2005 Sea Ray 320 Sundancer

Swim Platform Size:  36″ deep x 102″ wide (the 34″ CAD dimension was for the SeaDek flooring)

Dinghy: Highfield CL310, 68″ beam

The 2002-2007 Sea Ray 320 Sundancer / 320DA has a large enough swim platform to install our davits without the extensions.  The first photo above shows how much room is left on the platform for walking with the davits and dinghy installed.  Note that the 320 Sundancer has an extra 8″ walkway above the swim platform (just behind the transom)

There is a raised lip around the perimeter of this swim platform, so you would need our mounting plate shims for this installation.  As the CAD shows, the davit mounts were installed so the center of the first mount is 2″ from the centerline of the swim platform.  The davits were installed towards the starboard side since the transom walk-through in on the port side.  Anywhere near this location would be a good place to install our davits.

If you don’t have this exact same boat, you can still learn a lot from this installation.  The CAD dimensions of this swim platform were obtained by our customer when they had SeaDek flooring installed.  So the CAD dimensions are for the SeaDek flooring itself, not the actual swim platform dimensions.  The depth of this swim platform (from front to back) is approximately 36″.  So any boat with a 36″ swim platform would work with our davits (no extension needed), as long as your dinghy is less than 70″ wide.  Just note that this boat has the extra walkway above the swim platform.  If you do not have this, and you want extra room for walking between the dinghy and the transom, then you would in fact want our davit extensions which would give you an extra 9″ of room for walking.
